legal advice.. driving with a suspended license… rockford illinois..?
i live in rockford illinois. i didnt pay a court fine in another county and my license was suspended and i didnt know it. i was pulled over twice in two weeks and sent to jail. the first time they got me for no insurance and a suspended license. the second time just a suspended license. i can pay the fine that suspended my license by my court date and clear my license. but what could happen to me when i go to court over my license being suspended?
Make sure you pay your fine for your suspension. Take proof of your insurance so it, the no insurance ticket can get dropped. Also take proof that you paid your fine for the suspended ticket with you also. It might take awhile for the county to send it back to you, your D.L. but at least you can show you are making a good faith effort to make everything right. If everything goes well the Judge will be lenient on you and give you a new court date to return so he can see how everything is going, or he might even dismiss the case because of your effort.
