What is the ratings of insurance companies operating in India?
Insurance companies in India doesn’t seem to have been rated. Only ICICI Pru had a rating assigned from Fitch. (http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/2006/01/18/stories/2006011802760600.htm). To quote:
FITCH Ratings has assigned ICICI Prudential Life Insurance a National Insurer Financial Strength (”IFS”) rating of `AAA(ind)’ with Stable Outlook.
This was in Jan 2006.
